Increases in National Minimum Wage Rates 2020
3rd March 2020From April 2020 the National Minimum Wage will once again be increased, as per the below figures:

April 2019 (current rate) | £8.21 | £7.70 | £6.15 | £4.35 | £3.90 |
April 2020 | £8.72 | £8.20 | £6.45 | £4.55 | £4.15 |
Apprentices are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of their apprenticeships.
This pay rise means that low- paid workers will receive a 6.2% pay rise to £8.72, being the biggest cash increase ever, benefiting nearly 3 million workers. Younger workers are getting an increase of between 4.6%- 6.5%, with 21-24 year olds seeing the biggest increase of 6.5%.
