Bury’s 2026 Sports Evening & BBQ

On Tuesday 7th July, colleagues from our Bury St Edmunds office came together for a sports evening and BBQ at the British Sugar Sports and Recreational Ground.
We were fortunate to have excellent weather for the event, which saw four teams of four compete across a range of activities. Each participant took part in two individual sports, earning points for their team before the evening culminated in the team events – tug of war and rounders.
As the competition progressed, the competitive spirit certainly came out to play, with teams keen to gain every point available. While there were some impressive individual performances, the evening was ultimately about bringing colleagues together, enjoying some friendly rivalry and spending time together away from the office.
The tug of war and rounders proved to be particular highlights, generating plenty of support from teammates and spectators alike. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported, although there may have been a few sore muscles the following morning!

Following the sporting activities, everyone enjoyed a BBQ in the sunshine, providing the perfect opportunity to relax, catch up and reflect on the evening’s events.
