Xero: Retiring old versions of reports

Xero: Retiring old versions of reports header image of 30th July date on a calendar 27th June 2023

Xero has two versions of reports – and old version and a new version. They are retiring the old version of their reports at 7pm BST on 30 July 2023. At which point, it will be time to switch to their exciting new reports and you will no longer have access to old reports. If you haven’t made the switch to new reports, we urge you to start using them now, so you have time to get used to them before the old versions are retired.

To find reports, click the Accounting menu in Xero, then select Reports. On the Reports screen, you can access and browse all of the reports available.

What is going to happen?

  • You will have read-only access to old published and archived reports
  • You won’t be able to run old reports
  • Any saved drafts of old reports will be removed from Xero
  • There are some reports that won’t be retired on this date, as Xero are upgrading them in a different way or at a later date:
    • VAT Return report
    • VAT Reconciliation report
    • Budget Manager
    • Budget Summary report
    • Expense Claim Summary report
    • Foreign Currency Gains and Losses report
    • Inventory Item Summary report
    • Sales by Item report
    • Tracking Summary report
    • Unrealised Gains and Losses report
