2026 Annual Farming Seminar Success
12th May 2026
Whitings staff, clients and professional contacts met recently at the lovely Ravenwood Hall in Rougham for our 2026 Annual Farming Seminar, where Richard King of Andersons, The Farm Business Consultants presented us with their Prospects for UK Agriculture.

We were blessed on the day with some lovely weather, which I initially thought was going to be needed to lift the spirits, but the tone of the presentation was much more up-beat than anticipated.
Despite low and flat-lining arable crop prices making for some pretty tough trading conditions for arable farmers, other sectors seem to be faring better. Poultry, pigs, dairy and general cropping all look to have similar if not better results this coming harvest. As always, the devil is in the detail and Andersons are all over that detail.

I always come away from our Annual Farming Seminar feeling renewed about agriculture in the UK, even in the years where the tone of the presentation is more sombre. Taking time away from my desk and having the chance to hear about all sectors of the industry in such concise yet informative detail alongside clients and other professionals with whom I can hold a pleasant and grounded conversation is a blessing.
But don’t just take my word for it. Hear from some of the attendees yourselves:
“To find one useful nugget of information at a conference is usually enough to justify taking time out of busy life. I came home with a basketful of nuggets from the conference today. Very glad that I attended.”
“Topical content delivered in a very understandable format with an excellent booklet for own notes – so much better than just receiving slides afterwards.”
“Very friendly atmosphere with clients and professionals and a good location”
I liked the “…opportunity to get a snap shot of everything in the sector and network.”
Will you be joining us next year?
