The Journey Begins – Exciting new business opens in St Neots

Shume Bottle Emporium – is a beer shop specializing in locally brewed beer, cheese, coffee, gin and a few other delights. I would say it offers a continental feel which is uncommon in most shops and is definitely something different in the town of St Neots.

The biggest feature for me is owner Luan, who’s passion and interest in not only all his products but also where and how they are produced offering a rare and refreshing knowledge and judgement that you just don’t find in your local supermarket.

Whiting & Partners will be looking after his bookkeeping using Xero with the shop currently running an iZettle system (Rebecca Marley has recently written a blog on this) and producing his accounts at the year end. More importantly we will be producing Luan with quarterly management information, giving him advise where he needs it and allowing him to focus on running his business and doing what he loves!

Starting a business takes a huge amount of courage but also a passion about a product or a service that drives a company forward. Most of us are unable to control every aspect of a business and if we are, perhaps we are taking time and energy away from areas where a real impact could be made. Like Luan, let Whiting’s help with support, advice and your workload. You’re not alone and we want you to be successful just like you do!

And if you are in the St Neots area, check out Shume. From beer drinkers to cheese enthusiasts, it’s an experience I have rarely had myself and will happily return again. A fantastic example of a budding business venture of which Whiting’s will be right behind!
