Xero UK Roadshow: Small Business Sessions 2025

On Tuesday 7th October 2025, I attended the 2025 Xero UK Roadshow for accountants and bookkeepers of small businesses, which was held at Tobacco Docks, London.
The day started with time to network with other accountants and bookkeepers in attendance and a chance to look around the exhibition and speak to different app partners that work with Xero.
It was then time to head to the Main Stage for a Keynote presentation covering the opportunities ahead for both us, as accountants, and for our clients. The presentation also included information about the up coming product updates and the future roadmap of Making Tax Digital (MTD) and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The information provided on AI and how Xero are integrating the use of AI to make bookkeeping work for ourselves and our clients more efficient was very interesting and something that I am looking forward to integrating into our work practices.
After lunch it was time to attend breakout sessions, to suit different levels of Xero experience. I attended sessions based on MTD changes that are coming in April 2026, to gather any further tips and tricks on how to make this transition as smooth as possible for our clients, and help them get as much as possible out of this new way of reporting to HMRC.
Overall, the day was very interesting and gave me some important things to think about moving forwards with MTD and the use of AI especially.
