Whitings 2025 Annual Golf Day

The Whitings 2025 Annual Golf Day was held on Friday 26th September at Lakeside Lodge Golf and Country Club in Pidley. Overall, we had 16 players competing for the Whitings Trophy. There were also a wide variety of handicaps, ranging from 4 to 28.
The Morning Session
The morning session consisted of individual Stableford competition, after 18 holes of good (and interesting!) golf, the results were in – finishing in second place was Daniel Walker (St. Neots), with a very good score of 39 points. However, this year’s Whitings Champion is Nick Edgley (Ely) with a fantastic score of 41 points, having played an excellent round of golf. As this years winner, Nick will be organising the 2026 Annual Golf Day.
During the round there were also prizes for ‘nearest the pin’, also won by Nick Edgley and ‘longest drive’, which was won by David Salmon (Whitings Wealth Management).
The Afternoon Session
After enjoying lunch, the afternoon saw attention turn to the Texas Scramble tournament, where teamwork is crucial. Following a close battle with just one shot in it, this year’s team champions were Jai Gayle, Nick Edgley, Andrew Band and Myself.
Well done to all the winners!
Overall we all had a good and enjoyable day and we look forward to next year’s event courtesy of Nick.
