Mandation Letters Issued by HMRC for MTD
11th November 2025
If you have filed your 2024/25 tax return ahead of 31 August 2025, HMRC are now starting to send out the first batch of letters to those who need to comply with MTD from April 2026 based on what was entered on there tax return. If you have received a letter and are still unsure please do get in contact with us to help get you set up ready for MTD.
Those that filed your return after 31 August will get a letter in February 2026.
Although the intention is that all taxpayers will receive a letter, it is still your responsibility to check if you need to comply from April 2026.
