Making Tax Digital – Moving Your Company Forward
28th June 2018You, like many businesses have been successfully running for years, maintaining your books and records and submitting correct VAT returns, in turn ticking all the necessary boxes and satisfying HMRC. However, the introduction of MTD will mean a ‘shake up’ to your current methods and may require you to adopt software for the first time.
You will now be expected to start keeping digital records. So what is the next step and how can Whiting & Partners help with the transition? The good news is that there is still 10 months to get this sorted and Whiting & Partners are happy to help you with as much of the process as you need!
The next steps are simple; take advantage of some events and offers we have:
- Free making tax digital seminars – we have just recently held free seminars for our clients across the majority of our office locations. Here clients found all the information on MTD and had the opportunity to ask any queries they had about implementing systems or general information. We will be looking to run more of these as we enter the autumn months and would recommend attending!
- Set up one of our free 1 hour MTD health checks – call your local office and arrange a free consultation with a specialist MTD consultant who will talk you through the next steps and guide you on which software to use and how/when to implement these into your business.
- Training & Set up – Once you have chosen which cloud package you wish to use, we can then provide you with assistance with set up or complete all the set up on your behalf. Then we can train you and your staff the best ways to use software.
Once we have given you all the facts about MTD and what is expected of you, you may decide to outsource your bookkeeping. Again, this is definitely a conversation to have with your consultant, you may be surprised how little extra it will cost you to let us do all of the work for you. Giving you all the time to focus on running your business and making it grow.
