Manager, General Practice: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Practice Manager to join our team.

The Role

As General Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. You will ensure the smooth running of client services, manage staff performance, and support the partners in driving efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support staff, including workload allocation, training, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain and improve internal processes to enhance client service delivery.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring queries are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Assist partners with strategic planning, compliance, and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and professional guidelines.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous management experience within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of accountancy practice operations and compliance requirements.

Desirable:

  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with accounting software programmes and practice management software.
