Assistant Manager, General Practice: Ely, Cambridgeshire

We are looking for an Assistant Manager in our General Practice department at our Ely office.  The role is full time 37.5hrs per week. We require a qualified ACCA/ACA with at least 1 year post qualified experience in practice.  The role will be approximately 85% accounts prep (mainly corporate) & CT, 10% personal tax returns and 5% book keeping/management accounting, together with the variety of ad-hoc advisory assignments that SME general practice generates.  Please see attached job specification.

 

The individual should be a strong communicator, able to work effectively within a team and independently and demonstrate good attention to detail. They should be self motivated, driven and have the ability to work well under pressure and ideally should have experience mentoring and coaching trainee members of staff and should also be comfortable communicating with clients about their financial and business procedures when needed.  They will also be responsible for undertaking a variety of General Practice assignments including accounts preparation and tax compliance services for a range business clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.  They should have a good working knowledge of UK GAAP and the disclosures required for both small and medium sized companies.

 

Salary/remuneration package on offer will be at market rates, in line with knowledge and experience.
