Guide to filing confirmation statements

18th January 2018

A confirmation statement (CS01) must be filed by a company every year to confirm the information held about them at Companies House. Even if the details on the CS01 haven’t changed since last year’s statement, you must still submit one. This is usually within 14 days of the anniversary of incorporation of the company – you can check due dates by searching the company using beta.companieshouse.gov.uk

Before submitting the CS01, you must ensure the records held about the company are correct using the companies house search detailed above. If they need updating, you should submit the relevant forms to Companies House. For example, you may need to complete a “Change of Registered Office Address” (AD01), if this address has changed within the last 12 months.

To file the Confirmation Statement online, you will need your password and authentication code. If you don’t have these, you’ll need to register. Alternatively, we can submit your Company’s CS01 on your behalf.
