The Bury Free Press West Suffolk Business Awards 2025, held at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds on Friday 10th October, was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements and dedication of the local business community.

 

Whitings LLP were once again proud sponsors of the Contribution to the Community Award, highlighting our continued commitment to supporting businesses and organisations that make a positive difference across West Suffolk.

 

The event was hosted by Harpreet Kaur, winner of The Apprentice 2022, and featured 13 award categories sponsored by a range of local businesses.

  • Customer Service Award – The Angel Hotel
  • Employee of the Year – Alan Havelock (MGS)
  • Freelancer of the Year – Tracey Wilmshurst (Tracey Wilmshurst Virtual Services)
  • Green / Environment Award – Still Good Food
  • Investing in West Suffolk – Rougham Estate
  • The West Suffolk Award for Innovation – Aceso Biosciences Ltd
  • Lifetime Achievement – George Agnew (Rougham Estates)

 

A silent auction was also held to raise funds for the evening’s charity partner, My WiSH, a local charity supporting the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. Attendees bid on a range of exciting prizes, including signed football shirts, holidays, and unique experiences — all in support of a great cause.
