Apprenticeship Week

11th February 2022

As this week is apprenticeship week, I thought it would only be right to post about my apprenticeship experience!

I have worked in practice for almost 4 years, and I started my Level 4 apprenticeship with Whitings LLP in February 2021 and will hopefully be finishing Level 4 in March/April this year. So here are some of my top tips as to why my apprenticeship has been such a pleasant experience whilst working at Whitings LLP.

  • Study support – Whitings LLP has been so supportive of all my studying needs and always show an interest in the exams I am currently doing and where I am hoping to progress to. As an apprentice it is no secret that one of the best bonuses is having all my books and classroom session paid for, allowing you to study for a qualification debt free.
  • Skills days – In line with the apprenticeship requirements we must attend skills days which are very beneficial to use in the workplace and as you progress. You will learn all about leadership, how to work in teams and project management.
  • Gaining experience – When finishing university, the end goal is to find a job. However, this can be very challenging for some graduates as lots of workplaces ask for experience and when on an apprenticeship you are getting the vital workplace experience that employers ask for. This allows to progress through your career whilst studying too!

These are just a few of my favourite things about being an apprentice. If you have any questions or are undecided on what’s best for you, feel free to email me.
