2025 Student Training Morning

On Wednesday 24th September, 19 trainees from all offices gathered at our Ely office for a morning session to introduce them to the AAT training programme with Whitings LLP.
The session commenced with an introduction to Whitings from our Chairman, Chris Ridgeon. This was followed by a talk from Jordan Osborne, Business Development Manager in professional services with AAT. Jordan offered a very informative, thorough and positive, yet realistic insight into what gaining the qualification involves.
Emily Haines, Senior Manager at our Bury St. Edmunds office was next up. Emily spoke about the transition from AAT to ACCA and the significant jump from one level to the next.
After a short break for cake, Ben Bullman from First Intuition led the final presentation. Ben runs the tutor team and is involved in many other aspects of what First Intuition offer. Ben’s very enthusiastic and refreshing approach to how their courses are run was very well received. All aspects of First Intuition were covered, from tea, coffee and the dress code to student progress reporting.
Everyone came away from the session with a clear idea of what to expect in their journey and most importantly a goody bag containing chocolate and the names of who to reach out to for support!
